(Taipei News) Winbond Electronics Corporation today announced the revenue results for the month of October, 2007. Revenue for the month was NT$ 2.572 billion, a decrease of approximately 10.06 percent when compared with NT$ 2.859 billion in the previous month. Accumulated revenue for January to October of 2007 was NT$ 27.856 billion, an increase of nearly 4.33 percent when compared with NT$ 26.701 billion over the same period in 2006.
In terms of Logic products, the consumer electronic products have entered the low season resulting in a decrease of the revenue. The overall revenue of Logic showed a slight decline. As to the Memory products, the increasing market demands of Specialty DRAM and Serial Flash drove the product sales up; however, the overall memory revenue decreased due to a slump in DRAM price.
As a whole, the market price of DRAM is still slow, and the low-season effect of consumer electronic products will continue. The expectation of revenue by the end of the year is conservative.
